General Information

If students are planning to stay under the Polish Territory for more than 90 days during a year starting from their first day of entry, it is essential for them to consider applying for VISA Type-D. However, with only 90 days validity, students also need to apply for a temporary residency permit if their educational program lasts for 3 years or more.

Document Required:

Letter of Acceptance: The candidate must obtain an acceptance letter from a reputable Polish educational institution to proceed. This official document confirms their admission into a specific program of study in Poland.

Visa Application Form: To obtain a visa, please complete and submit the visa application form. You can typically download this form from the website of the Polish embassy or consulate in your country. Remember to sign it twice before submitting.

Passport: One should ensure that their passport remains valid for at least three months beyond the planned departure date from Poland.

Passport-sized Photos: Individuals may need to provide recent photographs that adhere to specific size and format requirements. These photographs should have a white background, measure 35 mm x 45 mm, and be no older than 6 months.

Proof of Sufficient Funds: To study in Poland, it is necessary to provide evidence that you possess adequate funds for covering tuition fees, living expenses, and other related costs. This can be achieved by presenting bank statements or obtaining a sponsor's affidavit of support. The anticipated costs include 776 PLN per month for living expenses during your stay and 2500 PLN for return travel.

Travel medical Insurance: This is a vital requirement, and individuals should ensure that they possess a duly approved Certificate of TMI issued by reputable insurance companies listed in the approved directory.

Visa Fee: Please ensure that you pay the appropriate visa application fee for a Long-term visa, which generally amounts to 80 €. However, it's important to note that this fee may vary based on your nationality and the specific type of visa

Interview: You may be required to attend an interview at the Polish consulate or embassy.

Return Ticket: You may need to provide proof of a return or onward ticket.

Accommodation: Some consulates may require proof of your accommodation arrangements in Poland, such as a rental contract or a letter from your university confirming your housing. It also requires lease agreement, decision granted by the dormitory or other proof of accommodation.

Language Proficiency: Depending on your course of study, you may need to provide proof of your proficiency in the language of instruction (usually English or Polish).

Visa Fees:

In order to pay the Visa fees for Long-Term (D) Visa, a service charge of INR 970/- will be deducted and it also includes SGST @ 9% and CGST@ 9%. The service charge and visa fees are non-refundable if refused.

Processing Time:

The visa request processing and acceptance period may vary, typically spanning between 15 to 30 days. It is advisable to consider this timeframe when planning your application submission and travel arrangements.
