Study Abroad conducted research on the application process for a study visa, and they outlined the following primary procedure that students must follow.

Overview:

According to the immigration law of Latvia, Indian students have the option to apply for a long-stay visa that remains valid for 90 days. Additionally, they must also apply for a resident permit at the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs of Latvia (OCMA).

Indian students must schedule an appointment after submitting the visa form. Subsequently, they are required to attend a weekday interview at the respective Visa Application Centers (VACs) for document verification, which follows the uploading of documents on Hello Verify.


Document Requirements:

Long-Stay Visa D-Type document requirements for students are:

  • Two photo (size 35mm x 45 mm)
  • In order to enter Latvia or any other member state, it is necessary to have a       passport with a validity of at least three months from the intended date of       departure. This requirement ensures smooth travel and compliance with       immigration,
  • Study Agreement Written Certification issued by the applied higher education       institution or college.
  • Proof of sufficient finance means
  • Proof of sponsorship
  • Accommodation proof
  • Proof of previous education
  • Travel medical insurance
  • Hello Verify Confirmation Slip

  • It is necessary for the students to pay the Visa fee of 60 EUR along with VFS Service charge.
